About the position
The Branzei laboratory at IFOM ETS, the AIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology in Milan, Italy, is seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD candidate to join an European doctoral network focused on the study of cohesin, a key protein complex involved in maintaining genome stability.
The successful candidate will conduct research on a newly identified interactor of cohesin that has the potential to affect cohesin functions on chromatin. This is an exciting opportunity to make significant contributions to our understanding of cohesin and its role in chromosome structure and genome stability
- Conduct research on the newly identified cohesin interactor, including functional assays and genomic approaches;
- Analyze and interpret data, and present findings at group meetings and conferences;
- Contribute to the development and optimization of protocols;
- Collaborate with other team members and contribute to the writing of research papers.

Requirements
- A Master degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Strong background in molecular and cellular biology and/or genomics
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments
Language skills
Fluent English
