We Seek for our Institute: Post-doctoral Research Scientist | Zitti’s Laboratory
The Zitti Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on a project focused on understanding regulators of T-cell responses in the tumor microenvironment in prostate cancer to develop novel immunotherapeutic strategies.
The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with the Niguarda Hospital in Milan, which will guarantee exclusive access to patient samples for this study.

Profile Description
We aim to recruit an independent scientist who can develop experimental workflows by implementing or adapting existing tools in the lab.
Methods will include processing of human tissues, cell culture, advanced flow cytometry, single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics and analyses of multi-omics datasets.
Your efforts will aim to identify and experimentally validate new approaches for improved immunotherapies for prostate cancer.
Language Skills
Proficiency in English for speaking and writing;
English is the working language at the Institute;
Required Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with human cell culture;
- Experience with high-dimensional flow cytometry;
- Good knowledge of immunology and cancer biology;
- Working knowledge in R and statistical foundations;
- Familiarity with bioinformatic analyses and interpretation of transcriptomic data;
Additionally Desired Skills
The ideal candidate will possess robust communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously. They should also be capable of fostering collaboration and making constructive contributions within IFOM's scientific environment;
Educational Experience
PhD in immunology, molecular medicine, molecular biology or related fields is required.
